World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to boost the gear score of an item upgrader mod up to 700 and also add a final perk. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you decide to take them to the Kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd to increase their stats (like an ideally broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) and others, like weapons, do not vary greatly post upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats like crit chance, attack damage, PvE and PvP damage. Weapons also have a flat bonus which increases the damage they deal per second. A lot of weapons also come with a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a unit. This bonus can sometimes exceed the damage that a weapon upgrade alone can cause.

The cost of upgrading a weapon's capabilities is contingent on the quality of the weapon and its current level. For instance an item upgrader mod with a rating of +2 will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while a +3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the gun will increase until it requires a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.

Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. While this is generally a good thing but it can also have negative effects as well. Upgrades can render items impossible to use, unless you are extremely lucky.

Armor items can be upgraded to increase their stats. For instance, if you have chests or helms this will increase its base defense while a belt and gloves will increase their strength and dexterity. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it is able to roll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain when upgrading, as well as the relative value of those stats. This means that a weapon will gain 33% attack damage when it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% difference doesn't mean that it will hit for 3 fewer times as it is an absolute statistic.

A weapon can also be rerolled using the green button, which is accompanied by arrows that circle in the item menu. This will roll the item and alter its stats, however, it will not reset the weapon's level nor bind to account status.

Armor

A few tweaks to your armor could make a an enormous difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets provide massive boosts to poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, which makes the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. The more defense your character is, the more value you get from every point of health you have therefore it is important to upgrade your armor as much as possible.

To improve your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four fountains in all each of which requires you to complete a specific side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the primary side quest and have completed the fountain in question you'll be able to speak to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels, and the amount of material and Rupees required for each will vary. In general, you'll need at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the first upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For instance, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep pace with a good-sized group of adversaries in most cold conditions and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded to +20 defense, giving the protection needed to survive a full on raid with a handful of friends.

Note that armor can't be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll have to focus on upgrading it to gain physical power if you're Warrior or Spell Power if you're a Mage. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you'll wear in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

You can also get some perks for your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. In general, you should keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to beat the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is useful to have some upgrades to your chest armor and helmets to allow you to stealth around some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the player, give the player with a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five different types of potions, each with a specific set of effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to increase their effectiveness. In addition the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to them.

Upgrades to potion require a certain amount XP. This can be earned by making them on a crafting table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. However, the upgrade price is dependent on the type of potion you want to upgrade, and also on the item level upgrade's Mark Level as well as its rarity.

To upgrade a potion to the next level, right-click on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI that allows you to select the potions that you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they will provide when upgraded. The upgrade of potions can be completed in batches of up to five at a time and the XP they earn will be added to your current XP count.

Once a potion is upgraded, it will not degrade unless you make use of it again or break the bottle within the container it is stored. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to change the name of the potion.

There were some changes to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. Splash potions for instance have now a duration of 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display of the Best item upgrader. The table of potion can now be made using four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be used in cauldrons. Similarly, using a potion in a cauldron that is full drains the potion and replenishes the bottle.

Finally, there are simmering potions made with dragon breath and splash potions. In the same way, a lingering potion effect can be extended by adding redstone to it. The potion table is now laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as potion of leaping, decomposition potion, as well as turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket is a tiny and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It may also refer to an object or decoration that serves a purpose, but is not particularly important such as a thimble. In certain cultures, trinkets are used to symbolize friendship or affection, especially between family members.

Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons, armor, and potions. These can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Trinkets, unlike other items which can be upgraded can be exchanged at any time without losing statistics.

The upgrade vendors are found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, as well as in some cases, dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.

Upgrades are a less expensive alternative to purchasing a new trinket. You can upgrade a trinket for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl as older one, and have an additional upgrade bonus of 1.

Trinkets can be upgraded once the old ones are not needed which allows a player to boost their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players and are a popular alternative to gold.

Players should upgrade their most important items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are upgraded first, followed by their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment they will not replace anytime soon (such as rings or cloaks). When deciding on which items to upgrade players must also consider the class's preferred stats. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to tank players and they want to upgrade their chest, helm and shoulders.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded to a higher ilvl once they are no longer useful and the new trinket will have an additional 1% upgrade bonus. A re-upgrade, however, can cause damage to the trinket unless it is saved using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than purchasing new ones.
