What Is Item Upgrade And How To Make Use Of It
Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can boost the performance of a piece of gear and, sometimes, even add extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random enhancements used.
The most powerful racial Shield Razortail, for example, is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorption capabilities in PvP or add additional defenses to missile-based designs in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the non-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens can be used to reroll an item you have acquired like armor, weapon or ring. The item is replaced by an identical item and comes with different bonuses. Reroll tokens are an affordable way to upgrade gear. However, they don't retain the quality of the original item and any resources that are wasted will not be refunded.
Reroll tokens can be obtained by survivors by a variety of means, including from the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in crates and chests or purchased at the local store at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter an attribute of a piece of equipment, such as increasing its damage or giving it a new stat.
Players can reroll their equipment into three aspects that include physical power, magical power and health. Physical power increases the damage caused by melee and weapons, while spell power improves mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades give the player additional health.
Three types of rerolls tokens are available in three categories: upgrade, rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates the item to a better quality. To make them, you'll need a higher level token for rerolling. Upgrades with enhanced capabilities require a common Best item upgrade, rare upgrades require a unique or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
As opposed to other tokens or markers that are placed on action spaces The reroll marker is left on the space until the next Success result is to be rerolled. This helps you avoid wasting upgrades.
Blueprints appear as envelopes at the start of each Preparation Phase, and are opened by grabbing them with Interact. When they are opened they show a complete description and icon of the corresponding Appliance or Ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged for new Appliance or Ingredient in the restaurant's store for a small amount of coins.
In the course of an event, blueprints may be transferred between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool due to selected Franchise Cards. This alters the kind of blueprints that a restaurant's shop has available for rerolls and which are available in the non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to upgrade weapons, armor and accessories. These stones are special stones that increase the level of an item by improving its stats or characteristics. Players can locate these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell them for a price. In addition, players can get these stones by signing daily contracts.
To upgrade gear, the player must first locate the item and then click the "level up button". This will display a menu that shows the item level upgrade's current status and what it will be when being upgraded and the required amount of Growth Stones to achieve this. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Typically rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas rare armor requires just one blue or green Growth Stone.
After deciding what to upgrade, players need to select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the appropriate cost. Once the player has satisfied the requirements, he can hit the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. This will increase the item's level by a specific percentage. The upgrade process can last from a few seconds to several minutes, based on the rarity of the item.
The upgrade process is risk-free, and does not affect the item's longevity. This is an excellent choice for those who wish to get an edge in battle but don't want to strain their wallets. Furthermore players can transfer experience and progress of an upgraded item onto a new item by clicking the "transfer" tab.
New players may find it difficult to acquire Growth Stones. However, there are many methods to obtain them, including completing contracts and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, obtaining them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or obtaining them from reward chests that are available during the Ancient Arena season. Additionally, players can take apart the higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.
Leveling
Leveling is a feature that lets players increase the stats of their weapons armor, helms, and trinkets. It is accomplished by adding upgrade components at the Upgrade Station, paying a fee in Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The upgrade components will be consumed and the item will be upgraded to an upgraded level. This process continues until the item reaches its maximum level.
Items that have upgraded stats will display a blue icon next to their slot. Contrary to enchantments upgrade components cannot be stacked with each other, but can only be added to one item at a time. Each upgrade component also requires an amount of items, as well as a minimum level of equipment.
The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left, players can add an item that they wish to upgrade. On the right side, a preview shows what the gear will look like at its next level. Once a player has enough materials, pressing the yellow arrow will initiate the upgrade process.
A piece of gear can be upgraded up to five times. Each time the item is upgraded, its base stats will be increased by a small percentage. The highest level for an item is 19.
When an item level upgrade is at its maximum level, it will no longer have the option of upgrading. Once a piece of equipment is upgraded to a certain track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track will be discounted.
Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that can be inserted into armors, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools to provide an additional effect or benefit while the equipment is being used. They can be purchased through vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced by new ones, but doing so will destroy the previous upgrade, except for glyphs that can be replaced and removed at any time.
Requirements
Upgrades to items allow players to boost certain attributes of armor and weapons they already have. The requirements for upgrading an item differ based on the type of item, but you'll typically need Dilithium along with an amount of Upgrade tokens.
Items can be upgraded by adding upgrade components to equipment and weapons. This will give them additional effects or an increase in quality of the Best item upgrader. These upgrades can be obtained from a variety of sources, including crafting, purchasing at the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting from raids and bosses. Once an upgrade component is inserted into an object, it cannot be removed or replaced. However, glyphs can be swapped freely.
The upgrade of an item can boost its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Some upgrade components also have additional modifiers that can improve the stats of the item.
For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" increases base defense, and gives an additional 20% chance of blocking. Additionally, the dps upgrade "Wildfire" boosts weapon damage.
Upgrades can be beneficial for certain items, but not because they increase stats. They are more valuable to players when they get a perfect roll. A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for instance is highly coveted by the melee PvP communities and could be worth up to 20-50 times the value of an unupp'd counterpart.
The game will display the requirements once you choose the upgrade component that goes into the item. This includes the type of item (either weapon or armor), the level of the item, the Upgrade Token required, as well as the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.
The game will put an item in your inventory after you've fulfilled the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will then change to show you how far to completing the upgrade. You can also check the status of an upgrade by visiting any item upgrader NPC.
