1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The i3+ EVO is identical to its sibling i3 EVO. They differ only in the fact that the i3+ comes with self-emptying capabilities. The i3+ is a great alternative for those who want a an entirely automated, hands-free cleaning experience but are willing to manually empty the robot's dustbin when it is full.
Both robots are proficient in removing dirt and dust particles on carpets and hard floors and are able to navigate around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates a smart maps of your home that aid the i3+ in its navigation and clean efficiently. The i3+ does not have obstacle avoidance capabilities like the i7+ or any other top-rated robots we tested. It may get stuck on power cords and socks and have difficulty navigating between different surfaces like hardwood and rug.
iRobot suggests that you clear areas that the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, and include getting rid of any clutter or toys it might encounter. It's also an excellent idea to keep the dustbin and filter clean so that they do not become blocked by dirt. If the i3+'s internal bin is empty or the battery is depleted, it returns to the docking station, and it automatically emptys the dirt into the docking station's dust bin. Then it continues cleaning where it started. The i3+ EVO's battery lasts for approximately an hour and a half continuous use. It takes around three hours to recharge.
2. iRobot i7+ Roomba
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the Top rated robot vacuum model in iRobot's flagship line, and it has the most up-to-date features. It has self-charging and self-navigating. However, the most significant feature is the self-emptying bin. This eliminates the need for regular maintenance.
The Roomba i7+ is able to remember up to 10 floor plans and their names with Imprint Smart Mapping, an application that allows it to map rooms so it can clean them more efficiently. It also integrates with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning jobs, and you can control your robot vac through the app or voice.
The i7+ is faster and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from all surfaces, including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy, though, is its self-emptying dustbin which eliminates a major cause of maintenance and cuts down on the cost of maintenance.
We were also awestruck by the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot to begin or stop cleaning sessions and also to move around the room, and vacuum a particular area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. After being connected, to speak commands to the i7+ like "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and monitoring performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
This tiny Dyson model is an athletic car in a world of vacuums powered by cordless that resemble minivans and buses. It has the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum for many households, but it also fits in well next to the table for a coffee or the bookshelf, where you can wave it around like an enchanted wand.
The V10 is powered by a 7-cell energy-dense lithium-ion battery which produces fade-free power for 60 minutes. The sophisticated whole-machine filter system captures allergens, and then releases fresh air into your home. Its specialized head uses stiff nylon bristles to penetrate into carpets and pick up large crumbs or fine dust. It comes with three suction settings to match the task being performed. It swiftly switches from handheld to automatic floor cleaner vacuum and back.
This model has a dock that can charge the Dyson to 100 percent within 3.5 hours. It also provides the ability to connect two attachments and the handheld. This is a huge improvement over earlier Dysons models, which require a lengthy charge and are difficult to store.
The biggest issue with the V10 is its limited run time. Its claims on the market that it has up to 60 minutes of run time are not true, as CR's testing shows. This is an average, not an exceptional, time for an electric cordless vacuum robot powered by batteries. It's still enough time to vacuum the majority of an average-sized house however, it's not enough to clean every spot (though a second run-through usually can be effective). This model has its own advantages however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models, and its vacuuming ability is significantly better for carpet floors with low pile.
4. iRobot Roomba 694"
One of iRobot's most adored robot vacuums the 694 is an affordable model that's an excellent choice for people who don't want to spend too much on a robotic vacuum cleaner amazon. It's capable of sucking up a variety of debris types and sizes during our testing, and it frequently goes over the same areas several times to give a thorough clean. Its flat front makes it possible to reach corners and the edges of walls.
Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate around your home, but it isn't equipped with the mapping capability of more sophisticated models such as our top choices, the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. It can get stuck on phone cords or low furniture and often runs out of power before returning to its home base.
The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways over the Roomba 694, as it has less parts that require regular cleaning, is outfitted with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtration system, incurs lower cost of recurring costs and has more advanced automation abilities and is better able to move its own. It also has a bigger dustbin and charges quicker.
The eufy RoboVac X8 has a superior battery life than the Roomba 694. It also has physical boundaries strips that can be controlled with your smartphone's voice assistant. It is also more durable and has a more powerful motor, and is able to perform better on both bare floors and carpets with low pile, while providing a wider array of automation features.

In our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors, and also handled dog hair (on carpet) quite well, cleaning up 86 percent of it. However, it wasn't particularly well with taller objects like cords and socks which was disappointing. It's also a bit more expensive than some of the other models we've tested and could be a deterrent for some shoppers.
The smart vacuum has an onboard camera that is accessible via the app. You can also create a live stream from the robot's cleaning station. This feature allows you to keep track of your pets or kids when you're away from home. The dustbin and the filter can be washed for the quick and easy cleaning.
