World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a way to increase the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade, it can increase the rarity of an item, or its Mark Level, and also boost other stats.

Each item has a track to upgrade it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the following one by a certain amount.

Item Level

When an item gets upgraded, its base stats improve in value. This value is the sum of an item's leveled-up perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrading items can be expensive dependent on the upgrader and the kind of upgrade you decide to make. This is due to the sheer number of perks that need to be changed in order to upgrade an item.

It is also used as a gating requirement while waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It is also used as a gating requirement when queueing for dungeons, scenarios and raids, and to limit the amount of PvP gear that a player can wear (since PvP is capped at the lower levels). Players can view their average item level in their character sheet.

When deciding whether to buy or sell equipment players can look at the level of an item. It's an indicator of the item's damage and its quality. The level of an item can be used to evaluate items when examining the inventory of a vendor.

The item level can be checked by pressing the ALT key on PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will display the item's full description, including the ilvl. You can also find it by hovering over an item and typing in /itemlevel chat.

There are several theories on how the calculation of the item's level is made. One theory is that the level is a numerical value derived from a formula that calculates the amount an item upgrading upgrade (king-wifi.Win)'s stats are worth. It considers the fact that different perks have different worth, and also that gems in sockets add to the overall value of the item. This process could result in a calculated value for the item's ilvl which is typically close to Blizzard's actual level of the item upgrader kit.

It's not the only factor that influences the level of an item. The location of where the item level upgrade was dropped may alter its stats. For example it can add a level to the item's haste or crit rating. This means that items dropped at higher levels will have higher value than items dropped in lower-level instances.

Item Stats

Item stats are a big element in what determines the value of an item for players. The game uses a lot of them in a variety of ways to encourage players to use multiple weapons, and also to stop one weapon from being "the best." The base stats of a weapon are increased by the weapon's stat modifications which are then boosted by the player's level.

The upgrades to an item can boost its stats. The rarity of an item determines the upgrade cost. A grey or white item, for example, will only be upgraded one time however, items that has rare tiers can be upgraded several times at higher prices.

Another method to alter the stats on an item is through affixes. They are stat boosts which can be added by the player to an item. The affixes are used to give items additional damage or other special capabilities (such as revitalizing dead or reducing cooling downs) or to make them unique by putting a name on them.

Currently, all affixes can be changed by selecting them from the upgrade window and pressing the green button with the arrows that circle. This will cost a certain amount in gold and items. They can also be used as upgrade gauges as with other rerolling methods.

Players can upgrade an item with a specific stat or reroll the affixes. The possible stat ranges for an item are based on the item level, but all items are guaranteed to have at least 1 stat within the range, unless it's an exclusive item or a God roll from a boss in a raid.

This is another aspect that could be changed by adding an option to upgrade the equipment without rerolling the affixes or choosing which stats to boost. But, like base equipment, this would need to be performed on a per-item basis and the interface for comparing items wouldn't show all possible stats that were gained or lost at the same time.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player boosts the likelihood of locating items as well as the properties created by loot and the intensity of these properties. It does not, however directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives players an opportunity to get better gear earlier in the game. This is particularly useful in the early game, since players tend to prioritize defenses and weapon scaling over raw damage gains.

Luck can also increase the chance of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade chance that increases with each level of the item and can be further enhanced by using an anti-material, such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons can be created or spawned with the Luck property, with the default value of 40. These items can be enhanced with golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the material of the item) to give +40 Luck or to increase the Luck of the item up to 140.

Additionally some items, like the Hollow weapon, which is infused with Hollow can be outfitted to increase the damage dealt by any damage-dealing skill by 5%. These items can be purchased in the shop or created using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Upgrades to items are expensive and not every upgrade will be successful. Cash shop items can be used to increase the success rate of an upgrade, or to protect players from losing their items if it does not work.

The rate of success of an upgrade is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the likelihood of successfully upgrading an item. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special Materials. The percentage of success can only be increased as high, and the probability that an upgrade will fail cannot exceed 100%.

The luck of an item upgrader kit can influence the effectiveness of an upgrade. Each item has an overall success rate of 25 percent and each item with Luck increases this chance by 5percent.

Note that item upgrades are rendered above the inventory items therefore enchantment glints and other effects can be masked by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
