Upgrades can boost the stats of a piece of equipment and at times even add additional features. The value of these upgrade is determined by the tiers of gear, their requirements and how many random augmentations are made available.
For example, the elite shield for racial discrimination Razortail is commonly upgraded for its lightning absorb function in PvP, or to add additional defenses to missile-based builds in PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the un-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens allow you to reroll an item you have acquired like an armor, weapon, or rings. This swaps the current item for one similar one, with an additional set of bonuses. Reroll tokens are an economical method of upgrading equipment. However, they don't keep the quality of the original item and any resources wasted will not be refunded.
Reroll tokens can be obtained by survivors through several means such as the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in chests and crates or bought at the local store for 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to change an attribute on the equipment for example, increasing its damage or granting it a new stat.
Players can roll equipment with three attributes, physical power, spell power, and health. Upgrades to physical power boost the damage caused by weapons and melee attack and spell power boost mage attacks and the ring. Health upgrades provide the player with an additional amount of health.
Three types of reroll tokens are available: upgrade, rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates an item to a higher quality, with the requirement of a higher-level reroll token in order to produce it. Upgrades that are enhanced require a standard item, while rare upgrades require a special or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
Unlike other special tokens and markers that are placed on action spaces the reroll marker stays on the space until the next success result is rerolled. This is a way to ensure that upgrades are not wasted.
Blueprints appear as envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Stage, and can be opened by grabbing them using Interact. When they are opened, they will display an explanation and icon for the appliance or ingredient. The restaurant's shop will exchange blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for an amount of money.

It will also show the amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade the item. The number of Growth Stones needed to upgrade the item is determined by its rarity. Typically, rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas rare armor requires a single blue or green Growth Stone.
After deciding on what to upgrade, players need to select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the appropriate cost. After the player has met the requirements, he is able to select the upgrade option and apply the Growth Stones. The item will be upgraded in level by a specific percentage. The process of upgrading can last between a few seconds and minutes, depending on the rarity of the item.
The upgrade process also is risk-free, and does not affect the item's longevity. This is an excellent choice for those who wish to get an edge in combat, but don't want to burden their wallets. Furthermore players can transfer experience and advancement of an upgraded item to new one by clicking on the "transfer" tab.
For new players, it can be difficult to obtain Growth Stones. There are several ways to acquire the stones. You can complete contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, collect them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or find them in reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Leveling
Leveling is an optional feature that lets players boost the stats of their weapons, armor, helms, and trinkets. It's done by the combination of an item with upgrades at the Upgrade Station and paying a fee in Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The upgrade components will be consumed and the item will receive a higher level. This process can be repeated until the highest level for an item is attained.
Items that have upgraded stats will display an icon of blue next to their slot. Contrary to enchantments upgrade components cannot be stacked against each other, and can only be added to one item at one time. Furthermore each upgrade component will require a certain amount of items to be applied, as well as an appropriate amount for the equipment.
The Upgrade Station features two slots: the left is where players can place an item to be upgraded, while the right slot shows a preview of what the gear will look like when it reaches its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow when a player has sufficient materials will begin the upgrade process.
A piece of gear can be upgraded up to five times. Each upgrade, the stats of the base item will be increased by a small amount. The highest level for an item is 19.

Once an upgrade element is inserted into an item upgrading, it cannot be removed and changed without restriction, however, the glyphs that are used in gathering tools can be swapped out without restriction.
Upgrades can boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity. In addition, some upgrade components include additional modifiers that can enhance the stats of the item.
The helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun", for instance, increases defense base and gives an additional 20 percent chance of blocking. In addition the dps enhancement "Wildfire" boosts weapon damage.
Some items are better off being upgraded not so much for their improved stats, but more because it lets players get the most value from a flawless roll on the item. A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for instance, is highly valued by the melee PvP communities and could be worth 20-50 times the non-upp’d version.
The game will highlight the requirements once you choose the upgrade component that is incorporated into the item. These include the item type (either weapon or armor) the tier of the item and the upgrade Token required, as well as the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.
The game will place an item upgrader mod in your inventory once you've completed the prerequisites for an upgrade. The progress bar will update to show you how close to getting the upgrade completed. You can also check the status of an item upgrade by visiting any NPC who upgrades items.
