11 Ways To Completely Redesign Your Item Upgrading

From Hastam Wiki

World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to increase the gear score of an item up to 700 and add a final perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd to benefit from their unique stats (like an ideally broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) while other items, such as weapons do not change significantly after an upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats, such as crit chance, attack damage PvE and PvP damage. Weapons also have a flat bonus which increases the damage they deal per second. A lot of weapons also have a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a single unit. This bonus may be greater than the damage that an upgrade alone can cause.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is contingent on its rarity and level. For example, an +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.

The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. This is usually a good aspect, but it may also have negative effects. For items that are only used in a certain build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs, for instance) upgrading them could render them unusable unless you have an extremely lucky roll.

Armor items can be upgraded to boost their stats. In the case of a helm or chest, it will boost its base defense while a belt and gloves will increase their strength and dexterity. Armor also offers the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it could reroll to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon shows the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading and their respective values. This means that a weapon will gain 33% attack damage when it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will hit three times less, since it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button in the item level upgrade menu, using the arrows that circle. The item will be rerolled and change its statistics, but it will not reset the weapon's level or tie it to the account status.

Armor

Adding a few upgrades to your armor can make huge differences in your ability to survive. Certain sets offer massive increases in resistance to curses, poisons and fire as well as magic. This can make it easier to traverse difficult terrains. In general, the greater defense your character has, the more value you will get from every point of health you possess and it's crucial to upgrade your armor as much as possible.

To upgrade your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains in the game and in order to unlock each one you must complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the primary side quest and mastered the fountain in question you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.

The amount of material needed to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. You'll require anything between three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for instance can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which allows you to keep up in cold environments with a lot of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded as high as +20 defense to ensure you're able to survive a battle with your friends.

You can't upgrade armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior then you should concentrate on upgrading your armor to increase physical power or spell power. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you will still be wearing at the end of the story, for example the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you'll wear in the final boss fight The Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

You can also unlock some benefits to your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. In general, you should keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to beat the game, like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer however, it could be useful to have some improvements to the chest armor and helmets that let you stealthy battle some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquid substances that, if consumed, give the user the illusion of status for a few minutes. There are five kinds of potions, each having specific effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, increasing the effectiveness of their effects. Alternatively, the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust the potions.

Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP. These can be earned by making them on a crafting table or the Alchemist's chest. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion and the item's Rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potions simply right-click on it in your inventory. Select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI that lets you select the potion you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll offer when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.

When a poton is upgraded and stored, it will not degrade in the event that you take it out again or break the bottle in the container it is kept. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change the name of the potion.

There were a few updates to the mechanics of potions in version 1.7.2. For instance the splash potions now have the duration of 0:08 (this is not the equivalent of 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display for the item). The table for potion can now be constructed using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It is now able to be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons, unlike Java Edition. The same applies to using a potion in the cauldron that is filled. This will drain the potion, and refill the bottle.

In addition, there are lingering potions that are brewed using splash and dragon breath potions. In the same way, a lingering potion effect can be extended by adding redstone. The table of potion ingredients has been rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added such as the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket is a small and inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to an object or ornament that serves a purpose, but is not particularly important such as a tiny thimble. In some cultures a trinket can be used to express affection or friendship between family members.

Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons and armor, as well as potions. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrades, trinkets can be swapped out at will without losing their status.

Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of every zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available using tokens, gold or fragments of trinkets that are rare.

Upgrades are a less expensive alternative to buying a new trinket. One can upgrade item a trinket for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base ilvl of the previous one, and will include an additional 1% upgrade bonus.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded once the old ones are not needed which allows a player to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded between players, making them an alternative to gold.

Players should upgrade their most essential items first. This means that the Best item upgrade-in slot items for each class are first upgraded before their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment that won't replace in the near future (such as an earring or a cloak). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when choosing the items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to tank players, then they should upgrade their chest, helm, and shoulders.

Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher ilvl once they're no longer needed, and the new trinket will receive an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. However, a re-upgrade is likely to destroy the old trinket until it is saved using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or a higher-tier salvage tool. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, but is still cheaper than purchasing an entirely new trinket.
