What s Everyone Talking About Item Upgrade Today
Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can increase the stats of a piece and at times even add additional features. The value of these upgrades is determined by the levels of gear, their requirements and how many random augmentations are applied.
The elite racial Shield Razortail, for example, is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorption capability in PvP and/or provide additional defenses to missile-based builds in the PvM. This makes it more exchangeable than the un-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens let you buy a new item, such as armor, weapon, or ring. This replaces the item with another of the same kind and comes with different benefits. Reroll tokens can be an efficient method of upgrading equipment. They don't maintain the original level of the item and any money wasted will not be refunded.
Survivors may acquire reroll tokens through several means such as the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can be found in chests and crates or bought from the store for 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attributes of a piece equipment, for example increasing its damage.
Players can roll their equipment using three categories: physical power, magic power, and health. Physical power upgrades boost the damage caused by melee and weapons while spell power upgrades mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades provide the player with additional health.
There are three types of Reroll tokens: upgrade, rare, and legendary. Each upgrade takes an item to a better quality and requires an upgraded reroll token in order to create it. Upgrades that are enhanced require a standard item, rare upgrades require a unique or a legendary item, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
The marker for rerolling, unlike special tokens or markers placed on action spaces remains on the space till the next success is to be rerolled. This lets you not waste upgrades.
Blueprints appear as envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase, and are opened by grabbing them using Interact. Once they are open they will display a complete description and an icon for the corresponding Appliance or Ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged for a new appliance or ingredient in the restaurant's shop for the amount of coins.
During a run, blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool based on selected Franchise Cards. This affects which blueprints the restaurant's shop sells to reroll and which are available in the non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
Weapons such as armor, weapons, and other accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that boost an item's level by increasing its stats and attributes. These items can be obtained by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the major towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell them for a price. These stones can also be purchased by players who complete daily contracts.
To upgrade gear players must first locate the item, then click the "level up button". This will display a list of the item's level, and what it will become after being leveled-up. It will also show the amount of Growth Stones required to do so. The number of Growth Stones required to upgrade the gear will depend on its rarity. Most often rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, while uncommon armor requires just one green or blue Growth Stone.
After choosing the Best item upgrade to upgrade the player has to select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay for the cost. Once the player has satisfied the requirements, he is able to hit the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. The item will be upgraded in level by a specific percentage. The process of upgrading can last from a few seconds to several minutes, depending on the rarity of the item.
The upgrade process is also risk-free and doesn't affect the longevity of the item. This makes it an excellent method for players to gain a significant advantage in combat without putting stress on their bank account. By clicking on the "transfer tab" players can transfer the experience and progression of an upgraded piece of gear onto the new gear.
New players may find it difficult to obtain Growth Stones. There are a variety of ways to acquire them. You can complete contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, get them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or get them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.
Leveling
Leveling is a feature that allows you to boost the stats of armor and weapons. You can also upgrade trinkets as well as helms. The Upgrade Station allows you to combine an item with upgrade materials, and also pay a cost in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The process will consume the upgrade materials and grant the item an increased level, which gives the item an additional boost in that area. This process can be repeated until the maximum level for an item has been reached.
Items with upgraded stats will have a blue icon beside their slot. Unlike enchantments, however, upgrade components do not stack with each other, but can only be added to one item at a time. Each upgrade component will require an amount of items and a minimum level of equipment.
The Upgrade Station features two slots: the left one is where players can put in equipment that needs that they wish to upgrade, and the right shows a preview of what the gear will look like when it reaches its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow once a player has sufficient materials will start the upgrading process.
A piece of gear can be upgraded up to five times. Every time the item is upgraded, its stats will be increased by a small percentage. The highest level for an item is 19.
Once an item reaches the highest level, upgrades will not be available to it. Also, when a piece of gear reaches a certain upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track ) they will be discounted.
Upgrade components are a form of equipment that can be inserted into weapons, armor trinkets and gathering tools to give an added bonus or effect while the equipment is being used. They can be purchased from vendors, looted or obtained through quests or exchanged between players. Upgrade components can be replaced by new ones, but doing so will damage the previous upgrade, excluding for glyphs which can be removed and replaced at will.
Requirements
Upgrades to items allow players to increase certain stats of armor and weapons they already have equipped. The requirements for upgrading an item differ based on the type of item, but typically you'll need Dilithium as well as a few Upgrade Tokens (various options available).
Items can be upgraded by adding item upgrade components to equipment and weapons. These will provide additional effects or an increase in item level. These upgrades can be obtained from a variety of sources, including crafting, buying from the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting during bosses and raids. Once an upgrade component is placed into an object, it is not able to be removed or replaced. However, glyphs can be swapped freely.
Upgrades can increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity. In addition, some upgrade components come with additional modifiers that could further improve the item's stats.
The helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" for example, increases base defense and adds an additional 20% chance to block. Additionally, the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases damage to weapons.
Upgrades can be beneficial for some items, but not because they increase stats. They are more valuable for the players when they get the perfect roll. For instance, a perfectly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly valued in the melee PvP community and could be worth 20-50 times the value of the unupp'd version.
When you select an upgrade component to slot into an item the game will show a pop-up window that shows the requirements required for that item. This includes the type of item (either Armor or Weapon), the tier of the item, the upgrade Token required, and the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade items.
If you've fulfilled the requirements for an upgrade items, the game will place the item in your inventory, and the progress bar will be updated to show how close you are to completing it. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by going to any item upgrader NPC.
