World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

The upgrading of your items is a crucial aspect of equipping your character. Upgrades increase the base damage and the enchantments of items.

They also offer bonus effects and enhancements. They are available through the Blacksmith.

The upgrade button is available on any item. Each recycled item adds a level to the gauge for upgrading.

Weapons

When a weapon gets upgraded, it will gain a base damage bonus and a scaling factor which affects other stats. The weapon may also gain a variety of upgrade components, which provide additional attributes or effects as well as distinct cosmetic effects. These upgrades can be inserted into armor, weapons trinkets, and gathering tools, and most require that the equipment has an upgrade slot that is available and meet certain requirements. When a weapon or armor piece has an upgrade component in it, it can be upgraded with a different one, but the previous upgrade will be destroyed (except for legendary equipment and upgrades). Upgrade components can be found through the Black Lion Salvage Kit Ascended Salvage tool, or high-tier salvaging tool on an item.

A weapon can also be upgraded to include a calibration attribute that improves certain stats, for example Weakspot damage or Crit Rate. This can be done through the Gear Workbench's interaction menu. Depending on the weapon tier, this can be done up to four times.

Once the weapon has reached maximum upgrade, it can be rebuilt using a variety of different upgrade types to boost specific stats or add other bonuses and effects. All of these upgrades can be applied simultaneously and the effects vary depending on how rare the weapon is.

Two Blacksmiths can perform these upgrades in the game: Blacksmith Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace and Smithing Master Hewg at the Church of Elleh hub. Both require different upgrade materials: Smithing Stones for standard weapons and Somber Smithing Stones to alter the type of damage a weapon deals.

It is generally advised to improve weapon damage first, followed by armour defense, then the other secondary stats as required by your build. In particular, it's common to see melee druids upgrade their weapon prior to any other gear, since this will increase DPS. This is particularly relevant to enchantments that are extremely efficient in increasing a weapon's damage and other stats.

Armor

Item Upgrades allow players to increase the performance of certain weapons, armors, trinkets, and gathering tools. These upgrades may also have additional effects such as increased damage or cosmetic enhancements. Item Upgrades can be obtained through crafting, buying from NPC vendors, through loot drops or as quest rewards.

The upgrade of armor can be done by visiting the Armorer NPC and spending appropriate currencies. Most armor will upgrade to the next level after an upgrade. Most types of armor can be upgraded, but some items (such as the starter armour found in Great Sky Island) cannot.

Most armor upgrades increase the strength or defense of an item by a small amount. However, certain upgrade components can offer significant enhancements to strength or defense, particularly when upgrading an epic item.

In addition to enhancing the defense base of an item, some upgrades also give special abilities that can be activated while wearing a piece of armor. These abilities can be extremely useful in combat. For example they can boost attack speed or block. Some upgrades also provide useful passive effects, for instance cutting down on the amount of damage that is taken when wearing armor, or giving you a a chance to dodge attacks.

Based on the type of armor, upgrading an item can require several tries. If a player wants to upgrade Steelclash armor to Dragonscale and the first attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor with a defense base between 59-67. The second attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor with the base defense between 67 and 77 and the list goes on.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lets players upgrade their armor sets up to level 4. To do this, they must visit each of the four locations known as Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Each location has a powerful fair who can upgrade a piece of armor for you.

Contrary to popular belief, armor is not useless in The Division 2. Certain armors give a substantial boost to the reduction of damage caused by poison spells, curses, magic or fire. This makes them very beneficial for certain types of builds. There are also ways to improve armor stats beyond the use of upgradeable armor such as the engineer trait to boost armor penetration, or the challenger trait to reduce the weight of the entire armor.

Potion

A potion can be upgraded by putting it in a brewing stand to unlock new effects. The upgrade unlocks a new tier of potion effects, and is able to be repeated to increase the potency.

The potions also gain an individual color, which can be chosen by the player using the /give. This color will affect the clouds that affect the area of effect as well as the arrows that are generated. In Bedrock Edition, the custom potion color also applies to the potions' particle effects.

The water bottle, the mundane and thick potions as well as difficult potions, now have a different the texture of brewing. The potion of weakness was added to the potion of healing in Creative inventory. There are lingering potions available that can be made with splash potions or dragon breath, and a thick potion with the status effect of Mining Fatigue (duration 4:00). Issues relating to this update are tracked on the Bug Tracker.

Trinket

A trinket is an inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It could be a ring, necklace or even a small flag to mark a boat's lateen yard. It could also be a reference to a gilded trinket on the mast of a vessel.

This macabre trinket seems to be influencing the residents of this maze, making them more common. This trinket, at present, makes all kinds of Xx of replicas more popular and gives each floor a Y% chance that it contains an ebony copy. Upgrades to this trinket cost an amount of energy.

The magic from this enchanted scepter seems to be affecting the dungeon itself, making it more likely to produce water and grass. This trinket, at its current level will cause X% of the regular floors to be filled with water or grass. It doesn't affect enchantments, glyphs, cursed weapons or armor, or items that are generated to solve hazards rooms.

While it appears like an ordinary eye of a newt, this mystical Best item upgrade item upgrade (Learn Additional Here) seems to be affecting your vision in ways other than simply reducing your field of view. This trinket, at the moment level, increases the health benefits of drinking healing potions and wells of life by X%, and gives you mind-sight on enemies within the Y tile. This does not stack with Heightened Senses.

Skull Cavern is where you will find Trinkets after you've completed the Mastery Cave. You will find them when you defeat Monsters, and in chests and crates. They are not found in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.

Place the trinket into the Anvil whenever it is required to be upgraded. This will have an effect on the trinket and will either increase or strengthen its effects. You can reuse the trinket as often as you'd like, but it will always have an effect that is new.

You can upgrade your Trinkets in the Alchemy Station by placing them into the Magical Catalyst. This will cost you 6 energy and increase the power of the trinket by just a little.
