Jewels can be replaced by another jewel without damaging the original. However, you can only replace a jewel in a piece of equipment only once.

It is normal to use more jewelry to enhance the appearance of. In addition to improving performance, the jewels also create an outer layer that is more durable than metal, so repeated friction from pivots won't damage them as easily.

Each piece of equipment comes with one upgrade slot that accepts either a universal or a jewel upgrade.
