What Will Item Upgrade Be Like In 100 Years
WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades can give you boost in specific statistics. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. A random substat is also increased with every upgrade.
Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as important for the latter because of the requirement to roll the perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader enables players to upgrade gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.
The upgrader is located in all major cities, and is accessible at any time to upgrade your equipment. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.
Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the Best item upgrader however they'll always be cheaper than buying new equipment. For instance, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from a different player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are useful items which can be used to upgrade weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. They can be purchased from NPCs of item upgraders for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor. The button will show the item's next upgrade level in the event that there are enough materials.
The cost of upgrades varies based on the item slot and the current item level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers, for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or the crests used. After an item level upgrade has been upgraded to a certain amount, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.
Many locations offer item upgraders which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon and the possibility of obtaining an entirely new recipe. The upgrade discount increases when more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete certain achievements or complete quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the start, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are available only through a variety means. This is both a benefit and a disadvantage.
In Season 3 the upgrade system has been modified a bit, and some new features added. Once a player has upgraded to a certain item level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item level, will cost less. This applies even if the items come from another set of gear.
The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade is reduced and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is reduced too, but it is only available once certain milestones have been reached.
Crests
When upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a few options. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are utilized during specific item level upgrade (Hangoutshelp said) level upgrades. Crests are an important part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that crests are only able to be spent on gear of a specific rank, and that each rank has its own requirements for upgrading. The most basic and straightforward upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the most complicated requires as many as 20 crests depending on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by completing content at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities, or by doing dungeons or raids in any difficulty to earn equipment of lower tier or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons with heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. Crests can be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade paths and steps.
The use of these currencies isn't too difficult, but the system introduces some changes to the overall upgrade process. When a piece attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to get their equipment to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.
It's also essential to use crests in a wise manner, as they have only one purpose. For instance it's a good idea to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the top equipment available and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you're planning to create. This is especially relevant for items like rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount on the account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
