Upgrades can increase the stats of a piece and at times even add additional features. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the number of random augmentations that are applied.
The most powerful racial Shield Razortail, for example, is frequently upgraded to enhance its lightning absorption capability in PvP, and/or to add additional defenses to missile-based designs in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the non-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens allow you to buy a new item upgrading, such as a weapon, armor or ring. This allows you to swap the item for one similar item and comes with a different set of extra bonuses. Reroll tokens can be an efficient method of upgrading equipment. They don't preserve the original item's level and any wasted resources won't get compensated.
Survivors may acquire reroll tokens through several means like the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can be found in crates and chests or bought at the local store at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attributes of an item of equipment for example, increasing its damage.
Players can reroll equipment in three aspects: physical power, spell power, and health. Physical power upgrades boost the damage done by weapons and melee attacks, while spell power upgrades rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades give the player additional health.
There are three types of reroll tokens: upgrade, rare, and legendary. Each upgrade elevates an item to a higher quality and requires an upgraded reroll token in order to create it. Upgrades with enhanced capabilities require a common item, while rare upgrades require a special or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

Leveling

Items with upgraded base stats display an icon of blue in their slot. Unlike enchantments, however, upgrade components cannot be stacked with one another, and can only be added to one item at one time. Each upgrade component also requires the purchase of a certain amount of items as well as a certain level of equipment.

A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for example, is highly valued by melee PvP communities and could be worth 20-50 times the non-upp’d version.
