1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot cleaning machine vacuum to date. Its most significant innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to send you images of objects that it encounters, so you can tell the robot to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt with ease while leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum in areas that you don't wish to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.

The design is also superior to the competition. It features a sleek, high-end piece that appears like toys rather than an obnoxious and loud robot. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal It also self cleaning vacuum cleaner-empties which can cut down on cleaning time.

In our tests the j7+ performed quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place instead of scattering it across the floor. It even managed to capture sand and small gravel, which most other robots couldn't do. It did all without getting caught up in our pet's hair.

The j7+, while not as intelligent as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and isn't able to clean the stairs, is still an excellent choice for those who need both a vacuum and a mop. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take a long time to download updates, and at times it's difficult to know if the update is actually functioning until you've seen it in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors A hybrid is the best robot vacuums option. This type of robot floor cleaner typically comes with a built-in tank for water, meaning they can both mop and vacuum your home simultaneously. They also have a number of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The downside is that they can be expensive at retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.

Roborock has some of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. This is the least expensive model of their auto-empty line. Although it might not come with some of the expensive features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories) but it's an excellent option when you're willing to make some compromises to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is exceptionally soft when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it a great choice for homes that have lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is an area that many cheaper robot vacuums do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation system is excellent, with few misses along walls or in corners.

The Q5+, like other Roborock products, can be controlled by only a few buttons on your device, or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones or modify your home map or re-label the rooms.

If you select the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once it's installed emptying the bin is done easily. It has a large LCD screen, which is useful for setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't required for most people but it can help easily keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly clever in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is among the Best Robot Vacuum under 200 in the industry, but it's expensive.

It is a relatively small base station that looks great and is easily hidden when not in use. The primary selling point of the station is that it can automate many tasks, chores and functions that other robots would leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot fully charged and clean.

Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tried that does a really good job of cleaning up debris from bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially in the area of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs. This means that it could get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the house. It also can't climb stairs like other competitors and doesn't come with a dock to create a clean zone for carpets with plush padding.

Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning-related options in its app, or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for a comprehensive mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the price tag.

If you're looking to save money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robotic there are many other great choices on the market with a wide range of eufy models priced significantly less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers an identical experience on the app with more features, including the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums with the right balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on carpets and hard floors, as well as mopping functions at an affordable price. It's easy to set up, simply snap on one of the side brush, turn it on and connect the charging dock. The app guides you through a few steps to connect it to Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to place the dock near a power outlet and enough space for it to move however.

The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, so it can fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious compared to some rival models. It is sleek with a black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern for two minutes), Recharge and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.

The way the G30 cleans is what separates it from its rivals. It uses an integrated map to make an image of the unmovable objects in its path. It can remember what it has already cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. It will return to the base to recharge and continues cleaning the area it left.

The sleek G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower recurring costs. It is faster to charge, has similar battery life and performs better on bare carpet or floors with low pile. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be empty as often and comes with the boundaries to restrict it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't have to be emptied as frequently and it's less difficulty with bulky items such as cereal.
